style and organize your pantry
Let’s face it, an unorganized pantry is just like an oversized junk drawer! When we don’t intentionally take control of the clutter we just use it as a place we hide things we don’t displayed in the kitchen. Not anymore! It’s time to get up, get organized, and style our pantry so much that we won’t want to close the doors! In a few simple steps I am going to motivate you to style, organize, and create an aesthetically please pantry!
DECLUTTER | Whenever I reorganize I like to remove every item out of that space. Pull out everything from your pantry and deep clean the surfaces. Doing this step will help you get rid of expired foods, packages that only have crumbs left over, and items you know you’ll never use/cook!
CREATE SECTIONS/ZONES | Start placing your bins, baskets, shelves, and containers in the pantry and create the perfect layout that is aesthetically pleasing. You may move a few items around once you start putting the food back in but it’s best to have some type of foundation first. I will link all the items I used at the end of this blog post. All are affordable too!
HIDE THE MESS | The items you want to keep in the original packaging I call “over flow”. These items are stored in big weaved baskets. The baskets are super stylish and do they’re job- hiding foods! I put boxes of cereal in here, granola, big bags of chips, and other boxes snacks.
PUT IT ALL BACK | Now that your pantry is organized and aesthetically pleasing it’s time to put all the food back in its designated area. This is when you take the flour of out the packing and add it into one of your canisters. This is when you take your tea bags out of that bright yellow or green box and place in nice acrylic storage container. You get the point!
Here are some of the items I have in my pantry. They are all affordable and stylish. I like a black and white aesthetic but there are so many options out there. Take a look and I hope I’ve inspired you to reorganize your kitchen and pantry! Be sure to watch the video of the entire process too!
